The laboratory of innovative techniques for the welding of advanced materials (TISMA) refers to the field of strategic materials and technologies for innovative production systems. This typology of production is fundamental for the production systems and technological innovation in Puglia and is essential for the growth of manufacturing companies. On the basis of scientific characteristics and activities of TISMA laboratory, the main objective is the intensification of the use of research and development by the regional business system and the increase of scientific production of the regional area through synergic actions of universities, research centers and companies. In addition, the international contribution of the TISMA laboratory team will be finalized to enhance the opening of the regional innovation system to national and international markets. The TISMA project aims to enhance research in the welding industry and advanced manufacturing systems, providing know-how and advanced equipment for the study of the weldability of materials, which today is strategically crucial for the implementation of high content technological products and is a mobile target to be tracked continuously. This enhancement is focused to the growing of skills and resources for research and innovation.
